“Interview Introduction and some general tips”
Honorable chair and distinguish panelist,
Good morning to you all.
To introduce myself, my name is
Tenzin Rabgay and I’m from Autsho under Tshenkhar Gewog, Lhuentse Dzongkhag. I
have one younger sister and we are brought up by a single mother, and my mother
is an enthusiastic farmer.
I graduated from the College of
Language and Culture Studies with Bachelor's degree in Bhutanese and Himalayan
Studies in 2020 and completed high school at Lhuentse Higher Secondary
School.
During my school days, I
participate in co-curriculum such as quizzes, debates, arts, and sports activities.
I received an award of GNH student for upholding the GNH values in daily school life.
Which is the highest award in my high school.
Similarly, while in college, I
participated in many co-curriculum activities. Became an active member of college
clubs and social service units such as Dangsel Media, Kadrin Visual, and Chithun
Phendey Tshogpa and volunteered in many social works. Being a member and
participating in such activities, besides enhancing my knowledge and
self-confidence, helps in inculcating core human values like empathy and
sensibility.
Reading books and doing research is
my hobby, also like photography and graphic design. For that matter, I
have a personal blog to post my write-ups and an official Facebook page for
photography and designing.
To share some of my strengths and
weakness, I am optimistic and people define me as supportive and friendly. So,
I take this as my strength and my weakness is I am a multitasking person and
detail-oriented, which makes my progress a little slower.
Thank You.

·
Since you mentioned you are from Lhuentse they might
ask about Dungkar nagtshang royal family lineage from there, Takila Guru Statue
and Namdroling dratshang.
·
If they what responsible as the eldest siblings, then
you may highlight on,
1. As an
eldest, you have huge responsibility particularly in setting example.
2. My parents
aspire me to serve Tsha-wa-sum being a civil servant. For civil servants
are the most prestigious profession.
·
They will definitely ask questions related to your
subject. So, write down semester names from 1st to last and try to
note key aspects.
·
They may ask about some of the activities particular that
you did as a club member. So remember the activities of the club.
·
Since you mentioned co-curricular activities, they
might ask you to sing a song, prepare a few lines of songs.do not hesitate at
all. Once done with the interview you will not meet them so, everything that
happens in the room and no one knows.
·
Might ask about books and photography
These are based on your
introduction.
1. They might
ask for General Knowledge and current affairs.
2. They will
definitely ask you to translate from dzongkhag to English.
3. They will
ask how many languages you know. Tell them what you know and may say I can
understand Hind etc. but don’t bother too much. They might ask you to say some
phrases in a language that you know.
4. They might
ask you to recite the national anthem… I .hope you know it.
5. Remember to
have Dzongkha version of the introduction too….
The
chairperson of the penal is the first person to ask questions. so if you are asked to
introduce in Dzongkha plz do in Dzongkha.
